Actually a grain of truth in your post, and as it is such a rarity I thought I would comment.

True and it would appear that in this case it has favored Bush. What must be considered in this game of chance is that somewhere in America (maybe in an area that was tightly contested) there exists the exact opposite situation and it might have favored Gore. The point is simple, you can't selectively manage this risk under the guise of "fairness". I would think that for all the respect you hold for your own opinion, that you would have reached this conclusion.
Its a game where chance is a factor, and if a man plays he accepts this before the dice are rolled. It may ring hollow, but if it was reversed and Bush was in Gore's shoes, I would not support him. Its a matter of principle. Believe it or don't, it does not matter to me, because I know what is in my heart better than you, and I do not think I am alone in this opinion among my fellow Republicans.
If Bush had elected to circumvent the Electoral College that also would have ended my support for him.
