KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- With Brock Huard sidelined because of a bruised kidney, Jon Kitna is back as the Seattle Seahawks' starting quarterback.

And Kitna might get to keep the job for the team's final four games, coach Mike Holmgren said Monday.

Huard was injured in the first quarter Sunday against Denver when he was sacked from behind by linebacker John Mobley.

Kitna replaced Huard in the second quarter and played the remainder of the game, a 38-31 loss that eliminated the Seahawks from playoff contention.

Huard was hospitalized after the Denver game. A CT scan of Huard's kidney showed it was bruised, not lacerated. Holmgren said he did not know how long Huard would be sidelined. He has blood in his urine.
