Re: "AMD ran from $20 to $97.50..." Since you don't bother to adjust for splits, why don't we re-jigger your data properly. AMD ran from $80 to $390 - isn't that better ? That of course neglects ALL Stock Splits - not just the most recent one which you like to ignore so you can post some "large numbers".
