I think I know what poll you're referring to. I saw something on MSNBC tonight showing that more people now want Gore to concede. I didn't see any breakdown -- just some overall figures. However, you must understand that if the U.S. Supreme Court sides in favor of Gore, then those poll numbers will flip-flop, and Bush will then be called on to concede. That remains a possibility, although at this point I would concede that the election probably will go to Bush.

Regardless of who wins, there will be a large segment of the population -- not only partisans but also independents and people who did not vote -- who will have a hard time recognizing the legitimacy of either candidate, regardless of who wins. That's especially a problem for GWB because of the fact that 300,000 more people voted for the other guy. If you think about it, that's a sizeable number of people.
