I spite of the 72 hour deadline passing they could have agreed. If Gore would have agreed I doubt Florida would have stood in the way Highly doubtful. Two presidential candidates petition state of Florida to alter election law...to extend the deadline after the fact...hmmm maybe you are right. Florida deadlines don't mean much. However the US Supreme court is interested in the changing of Florida deadlines. If you can't win an election fairly then mix it up as much as possible...hopefully the pieces will fall in a way that you can pick them up in your favor. If Florida can change their election law after the election can the rest of the states? Zeuspaul
