Hi KLP,

Regarding the 18% figures that I cited. They are based on the entire population of the United States. Everyone who is under the age of 18 is disenfranchised, yet they amount to about 75 million individuals. BTW, if third graders could vote, GWB would have won big. Uncle Al is just too scary.

Then you also need to factor in that any convicted felon is excluded from the franchise. So we find statistically that black and Hispanic males are disproportionately excluded from voting in our elections. And precluded from electing representatives who might find the dis-proportionality of the American penal system to be something that requires legislative redress. This method is working better than any poll tax ever did at permanently disenfranchising individuals that certain powers-that-be hope to keep out of competition for this society's goodies.
