That's me, baby!

I am becoming increasingly perplexed that right wing philosophy has become entrenched with the Mod Squad and that alternative opinions have been beaten away. Diversity of opinion, both financial and political, is crucial to open-minded discussions. To see reactionary thought rear its ugly head this past month over there is bizarre. Certainly, it originated before the election. But since it, the level has risen astonishingly.

I really did like a number of the people over there when I met them in Atlanta. I enjoyed myself at the party immensely. There appeared to be a quality level of humanity at it. Granted, many of those in attendance were dull. But most people I meet in real life are somewhat dull. I found quite a few, though, to be fascinating characters and have kept in touch with them since the party.

Cyberspace is a place we can go when we need it. I enjoy following the opinions of a number of people on the Mod Porch, however misguided they may be. Maliciousness is not pervasive there. Just fear and selfishness, at times. Believing that Bush is good for this country is as misguided a position as I have seen since the days of Ronald Reagan. What makes people tick continues to bewilder me on a daily basis.
