Frank,

I have ADSL and they insisted over my husbands objections to install a new line instead of sharing one of the existing ones. The VZ tech agreed with us that he didn't understand why they did it this way, but this is what they tell him to so he has to do it this way. Meanwhile I still have my extra telephone line that I used as a dedicated line when I was using a regular modem. I haven't taken it out yet thinking that maybe I might want to keep it for the future just in case extra lines are hard to come by.
