Jeff,

I'm pretty much a libertarian so in general I'm all for tax cuts. The reason I'm against it right now is that I think we are running a very phoney surplus. (part accounting and part bubble revenues). Taxes are OUR money, but so is the HUGE DEBT. So what I'd like to see is a short term effort to pay down the debt and a long term effort at cutting spending. When our fiscal house is "really" in order (instead of scam order) then I think we should move towards privatization, lower taxes, lower spending, etc...

I think we should use this snapshot in time to pay down debt before we get the recession. Then again, what do I know?
:-)
