Why do Jews fear the religious right?

That MAY be because the religious right tends to be conservative, in both deed and doling out dollars. Jewish people have been stereotyped as devious, controlling, conniving con-artists who prey on weak people, and are always looking for or asking for a free favor or handout. Perhaps if the stereotype is true, they find it more difficult to have their way with the conservative religious right. Then again, perhaps it is simply religious hatred or bigotry. I'm agnostic, but I do observe and understand how religion is still a powerful emotional force in some.

Now before I get labeled as a racist, please notice that I did NOT just say I agree or disagree with the stereotype of Jewish people. I merely observed that it is in fact a well-known stereotype and that it MAY speak to the question that was posted.
