Alpha Tech sees Q4 oper share doubling

LOS ANGELES, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Alpha Technologies Group Inc. on Tuesday said it expects to report that its profit from continuing operations doubled in the fourth quarter, while revenues increased by about 41 percent.
The Los Angeles-based company, which makes and sells thermal management products, said it expects to post income from continuing operations for the fourth quarter ended Oct. 29 of 33 cents a diluted share, including a $530,000 income tax provision, and expects revenues to increase 41 percent to about $18.0 million for the quarter.

In the fourth quarter of fiscal 1999, the company posted operating earnings of $12.8 million, or 16 cents a share.

Alpha Technologies also said it expects to post fiscal 2000 operating earnings of about $1.07 a diluted share, including a $580,000 income taxe provision, on revenue of $61.5 million.

The company said it also expects further revenue and earnings growth in fiscal 2001. Shares of Alpha Technologies closed at $8-1/4 on the Nasdaq stock market on Monday. The stock's 52-week low is $5-3/4.
