KM: Thanks for posting that article -- very informative! I wish we could get such detailed reports on trading activity in the stock market. What rumors, technicals, looming events, and portfolio adjustments are moving the markets? CNBC should hire some gossip reporters from the E! Network to cruise the trading desks and find out what really moves stocks on a day to day basis. It would make for a far more accurate depiction of market activities . . . and would be far more interesting to boot!

The fundamental story, for the moment, still seems to be that capital is flowing out of the Euro zone, which isn't good for the Euro's prospects. That may change if Bush ultimately wins the presidency, as Europeans seem quite skeptical about Bush and Lawrence Lindsay.

Regardless, maybe this trading bounce in the Euro will hold for a few days. I see that the XAU is starting to perk up a little--.
