Many of us are lamenting the ANTC business with T, and not looking at the progress business wise so far.

ANTC did supply for T to get 400,000 local telephone customers. How T gets beyond 1 million customer has not been known yet. 400,000 represents the upper 1% of the wealthy. Local telephone on cable is $35/month or more. T has to goto 2nd phone per household at a discount. STB has to be redesigned to handle more than one telephone line. Or T has to compete with the $22/month rate for unlimited service for local telco?

T recently goes back to offer $4.95/month ISP rate for 160 hour/month service, on the TV. So, marketing for local telephone and the service from cable eventually will be competitive, even though it is a franchise(high price but limited usage or subscribers). ANTC has to cooperate with STB manufacturers to get more lines available. Multiplexers, anyone?
