PSINet To Deliver Managed Web Hosting and Applications Development for AgentGO's ASP Solutions
ASHBURN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 28, 2000--PSINet Inc. (Nasdaq:PSIX), the Internet Super Carrier, today announced that agentGO, a mobile decision support solutions provider, has selected the company to provide managed hosting services for agentGO's entire web hosting and application service provider (ASP) operations. Terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed.
AgentGO's ASP model enables customers to access company data, such as sales force automation or customer relationship management information, through wireless devices from anywhere at any time. The agreement will allow customers to take advantage of agentGO's mobile infrastructure, while also benefiting from the reliability and scalability of PSINet's hosting services.
PSINet will provide agentGO with managed web hosting services that include managing and maintaining the company's web site and application and database server farm; provision of 24x7x365 security; administrative oversight and support. In addition, PSINet will provide application development, implementation, and integration services to agentGO through the company's Consulting Solutions division.
The agreement will also enable PSINet to offer its enterprise clients a wireless solution for their sales force automation, customer relationship management and other mission-critical functions. agentGO's platform will be used in PSINet's global data centers and will be available through PSINet Consulting Solutions and over the PSINet network in an ASP format.
