Good point. This is another area that drives the two sides apart. The carnage going on in the inner cities is COMPLETELY unbelievable imo. I accidently drove through the Cabrini Green (sp?) area of Chicago one time in the middle of the day and it shocked (and scared) the hell out of me. It was like a surreal world of trash and filth mixed in with little boys polishing the wheels on a few very flashy cars. Looked and felt very dangerous, particularly to a skinny white boy like me.

I'm rambling, but my point is that instead of trying to fix this situation the demos would rather posture it as a problem that too many people have guns. I take big time offense to the notion that my 2nd ammendment RIGHT to own a firearm to PROTECT MY FAMILY is why black people are killing each other at a annual rate greater than deaths in the Vietnam war. I think it is TigerPaw that keeps saying that GOP = white urban gun nuts. This argument is fed and nurtured by the democratic party, and IT IS SICK.
