Over Thanksgiving I visited my hometown which is the basis of my Raging Bull alias. Four of us went shopping on Friday. There were probably a total of 10-12 items we were looking for, and we were actually able to find only 2 or 3 things. If the Internet had existed when I lived in that town, I cannot tell you what a difference it would have made. The town has no book store or music store. The choice of music is what Wal-Mart carries which is pitiful. If I lived there today there is no question that I would do a tremendous percentage of my shopping on the Internet. Even though I live within 12 miles of a large Borders and Barnes & Noble, I always check Amazon first if I know the book I'm looking for. The Internet is changing the way we live. The company that can profitably exploit that change is going to make money for its stockholders.
