Maurice, nice to see you back, and active and accurate as ever. Shall we start at the top?
Dave, I spent a lot of time at the Fortune camp last summer as I had a camp put in for Avalon and was there as the helicopter went out to the sites. A lot of time? For you Maurice, what might that be?
The work done to GMD ground was done late in the season and when things were found the feeling I got was that it was no big deal. Would you be referring to the airborne and prospecting work completed in 1995, or the 40 line kilometres of grid work, detailed and reconnaissance mapping, sampling, gravity, walking magnetometer, real section IP in 1996 or what? Are you misinformed, or trying to misinform others Mo?
One statement that really bothered me was when the line cutters asked The operator of the project and I was standing right there "how far are we going to cut line on the Islands claims?" and the reply was "none, there is nothing there" Now how would take that statement when there was no real work done to the property yet? I really hate to mess up your facts with..well the facts but I thought I'd talk to "the operator" directly on that one (you know..check the facts). "The operator" emphatically denies ever making such a statement, and states would never say such a thing. For the record, more than 50% of the line cutting was done on the Island claim. Or were you referring to "the operator" on the other end of your phone line. Please be specific. Are you intentionally trying to mislead us Mo?
Funny how as more and more was found on the Treasure claim that the tune changed. What tune are you referring to? What has changed? I'm not really sure what you're try to say here.
And then in the fall GMD is all excited about the stuff that was showing up but why bother lets head up to the JBG claims and drill there. You're right Mo..you never let the facts or results influence your opinion so I can see why this might bother you.
But why, maybe because Fortune has a 40 % interest in the property and why send your people up to the Sue-Dianne to look at that property when a ton of work has all ready been done when the Treasure Island was sitting on strike? Are you suggesting it might be a bad thing to let our geologists see the Sue Diane deposit? To understand the mineral deposits geology? I understand how some people might like stumbling around with blindfolds on, but Mo, its called geology, it's a science, you use tools, logic, analogues, you study the rocks, the deposits..you look at the beast before you hunt for it!
Never saw no GMD personal on the property when I was there only in the fall when GMD came to town and was dragging all kinds of brokers and investors to the property to see the new showing. Never saw no...Mo, refer to all of the above. Again, are you trying to mislead people here?
If you go back and read the threads as you seem to have a lot a time to be on this thread as the GMD thread is dead oh by the way you know the one you sold the Discovery Mine to before you became a director. Is this bad/relevant? I noticed the Bre-X thread was particularly active a little while ago. Does that mean that it's a particularly good investment? What's your point? ..you know, the one you (I) sold the Discovery Mine to before I became a director...again, is this bad?
The only thing I am suggesting is that Fortune has a fire burning in its camp and would like to stay in the spotlight. Good for them, they deserve it, but alas, I suspect you're wrong again, in reference to their desire to stay in the spotlight. You wouldn't happen to be making a habit of miss-stating facts, or using innuendo as a substitute for reality would you?
As for the Airbornes, I don't have a copy but from the news release (# 30)it was very interesting. I ask the question again "are all of the ore zones related to the magnetite?" as was stated by richnorth. Too bad about the airbornes, but the question concerning the magnetite is almost as interesting. We could restate it and ask do all of the magnetite zones have ore zones associated with them? Its much more complicated than either question, but the easy answer is no. The more complex answer is ...there is magnetite, and then there is magnetite,..and then there is hematite that was magnetite, and more. It is possible to identify better geophysical targets based on the multiparametric surveys, as the Nico mineralization has intense alkali metasomatism associated with the iron oxide (magnetite and/or hematite, +++). The mineralization also has unique relationships to specific rock-types and or time frames.
As I said, geology is a science, and there are some that are very capable at this type of work. Fortune Minerals Limited, and GMD Resource Corp. have both used the services of Dr. N. Duke, Dr. H. Mumin, Dr. S. Gandhi, Dr. K. Neale, myself, and others. And it is possible that we have it wrong, and others have it right. That's what makes investing an art as much as a science.
For the Hawkeye investors, I have nothing bad to say about Hawkeye. I've met Greg, and he seems to be decent and dedicated. Your ground is in elephant country, and for that reason alone it's worth a look. I truly hope you find Jumbo, and there is no reason why you can't, but you have to look.
Good luck to all.
Dave
PS. Mo, perhaps we should move this to the "dead thread".I'll see if I can find that sucker for you. |
