Algore's fight for the presidency will remind us of Francisco Franco's fight in the ICU of some Madrid hospital back in 1975. Every night the report would continue, "General Franco still clings to life after . . ." This went on for weeks. After he was dead, Saturday Night Live had a great news sketch which began, "Tonight, General Franco is still dead . . ."
