Tenchusatsu, <<<It's hopeless to tell them to give it up.>>>
I'm not an Intel employee nor am I an Intel fanatic. I am just an investor looking after my money. I do have some loyalties in that Intel has provided a good return on my investment. But, the questions is and has always been, what are you going to do for me in the future?
The AMDroids got my attention and got me worried - but not near where I was going to bail. I had to listen and find out what they were trying to tell me. It wasn't easy. I had to get through a lot of garbage, a lot of ego stuff, and a lot of plain old lies.
But underneath it all, there was some substance. Old Jerry had done it again. Risen from the nearly dead with a product that is quite elegant and very competitive.
But, it was a lot like the old Soviet space program - with a lot less resources, they were able to appear to compete quite effectively.
In final analysis however, they just had to overcome too much. Not only did they have to compete with a much more prosperous society, they had to overcome their own evil empire heritage.
AMD is not dead yet. But, Jerry has to pull a few more rabbits out of the hat. I don't see quite enough there just yet.
