Kent: A couple points -
-The only company considering EDGE for 3G is AWE.
-ATT does own a piece of NTT, I can't speak about J phone.
-Cingular has already rejected EDGE out of hand. Presumably, they will go with WCDMA or CDMA2000 since they are the only remaining options.
