Couldn't happen a moment too soon, IMHO. I was greatly encouraged by Bush's choice for chief of staff, Andy Card. A man of intelligence and integrity.

A Gore defeat certainly isn't the end of the world. Just another nail in the coffin for truth and fairness.

We simply will gain a world reputation as the best liars and greediest people on the planet. Our out-of-phase disdain for the legitimate concerns of scientists and intelligent laypersons around the globe concerning greenhouse gases will simply be another item upon which the legitimacy of the American hegemony of the world stage will be diminished.
