This sums up the tough road INTC/ADI will have. Getting design wins with the new product will be difficult. TI gets engineering students in on the basic DSP stuff while they are still in school. That carries over into lots of familiar follow on products when the students get out.

The manufacturing advantages that INTC might have are not going to sell this chip. Solid hardware performance and software development tools will. I expect design wins in newer handheld "devices" rather than cell phones.
