Ray~~ Re: Who pays for EACH recount? Couldn't tell if you didn't know, or just didn't want or forgot to say....is it the taxpayer??? The US taxpayer??? Or the County taxpayer?? Or the campaign that asked for the recount??

Yes, at the end of the day...we as citizens are going to have to find out:
--What machines are used in each county in each state in the USA.
--How were they procured..by whom....when they were purchased...what the error rate is for each one....etc.
-- Ditto the ballots used. Have all the states tossed out "dimpled ballots" before....or counted them??
--Check that the registration for each voter is accurate. Is each voter alive???? (or how many times did Jimmy Hoffa vote??--don't know if this is funny or not...) What proof does each state require for absentee ballots that the person who voted is in fact the person who requested the ballots (i.e. cigarette's for ballots before the election....i.e. up to $70 the eve of the election for ballots, etc etc)

Yes, there will be LOTS of work for everyone....if this situation is not to happen again....
