I believe that you are correct. The problem sits well with the parents. I think you limited your description of problem children. The disruptive ones, the spoiled ones. They all have something in common. The lack of respect for authority.

Teaches have to deal will hell in a classroom and very little authority to remove the problem. I believe if the ACLU would give some breathing room the teachers might have a better chance to bring a balanced atmosphere to the classroom.

I don't mean corporal punishment either. I simply mean that they should be "boss" in the classroom. They need the room to express their authority and wisdom. If the children don't respect them, they will never learn. If they have inadequate structure at home, they need it in the school. The teachers need to take the schools back!
