going out together....
looks that way George.
Long time ago, I had some idea that when you put money into a startup company, a penny stock as it were, that you had all your stake at total risk. The odds are always completely against your making it big, with a successful maturing company. I thought that if the company couldn't succeed with its products or services, etc, that the market would destroy it..... along with one's investment stake in them.
For the most part, the real losers I've been involved in, and there have been a couple of doozies, ie, dctc, have failed due to corrupt management- not flawed service or production. This has finally sunk in to me, I'm just slow and old fashioned I suppose. A frank admission: the bashers have been correct in doubting management in many of the companies I've been in. The odds have been on the side of the bashers I'm afraid- at least in my experiences.
Needless to say, the few "stakes" I have left in a couple of remaining issues in my dismal fortpolio during this awesome bear for the micros will be my last (including a fabulous hold for the eons.... crzn...).
I could always handle the ordinary business failure factor in these issues, including dctc, but not the degree of management/insider dishonesty that underlies it. No govt entity, no nada, is going to change that, hence.... the worm has turned for me and, we're headed south for the last hurrah.
always, good luck...... |
