Noram Gaming And Entertainment Corporation To Retain XCEL Communications For Marketing And Development Of Online Gaming Venture
Project To Generate $1.2 Million In Revenue For XCEL In 2001
BUFFALO, NY -- (INTERNET WIRE) -- 11/28/2000 -- XCEL Communications Corp.( www.xcelcom.com) , a wholly owned subsidiary of AdvanteXCEL.com Communications Corporation (YAX.U- CDNX) (AVXCF - NASDAQ OTC BB) ("The Company"), a growing market leader in Internet communication systems, announces it has signed a letter of intent with Noram Gaming and Entertainment Corporation (NORE – NASDAQ OTC BB) to begin web site development and marketing of Noram’s online sports gaming venture.
Julius Csurgo, President of Noram Gaming, said, "We are anxious to begin development. After preliminary discussions and planning [with XCEL], we are confident about the future of this project and are ready to plunge into it."
The preliminary contract calls for a rigorous three-phase development schedule. XCEL will act as a consultant to Noram on a time and material basis for the development of Phases II and III, which over the course of the next year are estimated to generate $1.2 million in revenue for the Company.
Phase one includes development of a company overview section, a company news section, and a services section. The services section features web-based email, chat rooms, bulletin boards, guest books, Internet faxing services, calendars, and opt-in mailing lists. The second phase focuses on creation of a football wagering game at an estimated $10,000 project cost.
Phase III encompasses site marketing and additional game development. Site marketing activities focus on search engine marketing, media broadcasts, and promotions. Simulation games in other sports areas will be created in Phase III, such as fantasy football, golf, and basketball.
