Rest is in bs stocks that have been destroyed/ decimated and pennies.
Still have a little margin I am paying off.
Brief summary of lessons learned:
1. Have a plan and stick with it.
2. Don't buy penny stocks( I haven't since I started reading this thread)
3. Unless you are real good , don't even consider margin.
4. margin was invented by the devil.
5. Know your weakness, mine is the lack of ability to sell a stock: I wont sell when I 'm up because of cap gains tax, won't sell when even because of hope, and I wont sell when at a loss because of pride. All three of these show that when the purchase was made there is no plan, now I have a plan.
6. Giving to charity makes a difference.
I feel somewhat lucky that I am still up on my portfolio overall, however I feel this may end soon as we approach Naz 2000. I will still hold long term. I hope you and your families have a great holiday season. Also, on a crazy note, I actually printed up my portfolio back on the day when qcom shot up like 50 points, etc and all the stocks I had with all the paper gains, because I know there would be days like we have had recently and I could look at it and rub my nose in it and say BAD BOY, BAD BOY. Actually, I did it to recall the feeling I had when the stocks actually did good, in case of times like these. I will soon be printing another so I can have my Greatest financial profit ;-) days and also biggest loss days :-( on record.
