You can thank the collusive, anticompetitive cartel of IFX, Mu and Hyundai for the high costs. A gang of 3 that sees fit to take investment from others under the (false) pretense of ramping up RDRAM, steal technology, sandbag RDRAM and all its' derivative products, and then paints itself to be the injured party (kind of sounds like the Dems...).

All the while, demand for RDRAM is up, up, up. And Samsung is laughing all the way to the bank!
