The Supreme Court stands on the shakiest legal ground of any branch of our government. They have authority only because they claimed it, and the other branches find it usefull for them to keep it. The basis of their authority is their role as honest broker in American politics and I don't think the majority on that court is stupid enough to mess that up. I have been suprised before. TP
