Top marginal rate ...

The top marginal rate in Canada isn't the big issue: It's at what level of income the top marginal rate takes effect. Canadians enjoy the benefits of paying the top rate at about $60,000 income. U.S. taxpayers are denied this privilege until they earn about $200,000.

Perhaps we could lobby the U.S. to lower their threshold to the Canadian level. That way, we'd keep our most productive people at home here in Canada and the U.S. could afford a Canadian style government.
