>> 2) LE has taken over again as head cheese.<<

ORCL gained most once LE took over his seat from Ray. Larry is a great salesman than techie. Let's face it. How many techies you know, I mean real techies, became the top hancho? It's sales that pushes the companies to the next level. So as long as he's in charge, I see no problem for ORCL near future.

Great companies produce great many new companies. Without Fairchild's "traitorous 6(was that 7?)", we won't have AAPL, INTC, ADM and etc. It's the way cookies crumble or tolltia flips for Mexicans. ORCL will produce lots more CEO materials in the future. Shall we go back to rock cave for fear of producing many leaders in the industry? NOT!!!

>>This is a risky move in some peoples eyes and hence there is uncertainty that he will succeed. <<
That's what makes "visionary" from "salary techies" at great corps. That's why he has heavy toys in Woodside now from Thunderbird in Oakland many moons ago. If you think sticking with DB is safer, we all will loose shirts and more. Or stick with US Steel like Larry said earlier.
