First of all the magic original number is 270...second of all, learned scholars on both sides of the aisle are trying to figure out what exactly "majority of appointed electors means"

Thirdly, if by some bizarre scenario, FL electors aren't picked by 12/18, the sky won't fall. I believe additional litigation will occur to either a. prevent using a majority of 513 to pick the winner(Repubs don't want that), b. prevent the House from picking the winner state-by-state(Dems don't want that),c. accepting FL electors appointed by the FL legislature(Dems don't want that), d. wait for FL litigation to get resolved (Repubs don't want that)

The US SC will probably get another entree on its plate before this is all over.

Lastly, stop with the 'Nam war references...that is old, old, old news and is totally irrelevant to this situation.
