ENTEL Chile and Oracle to Create the First Chilean B2B Exchange

ENTEL Chile Selects Oracle as Technology Partner for Regional B2B Exchange

REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- (http://www.oracle.com/tellmemore/?494676) Oracle Corp. (Nasdaq: ORCL), the largest provider of software for e-business and ENTEL Chile, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, announced today the signing of an agreement for the design, development and creation of the first global B2B marketplace for Chile. The agreement was celebrated during a visit to Oracle's Redwood Shores headquarters by Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and a group of Chilean business leaders.

The Latin American business-to-business marketplace will enable businesses to buy and sell both products and services on line, enabling real-time collaboration between suppliers and customers. ENTEL Chile intends to lead the electronic marketplace initiative, with Oracle providing the marketplace software technology and hosting platform. By selecting Oracle as its technology provider, ENTEL Chile has demonstrated its commitment to e-business and solidified its instrumental role in developing the first exchange in Chile. This successful negotiation signals the start of a long lasting relationship between ENTEL Chile and Oracle.
