Hi all, perusing the latest patent, there has been a modification to the "phosphate" formula by adding the element Fluorine. I can't tell exactly what improvement is being asserted but Valence says that the reversible capacity is "very good", and the product is cheap and easy to manufacture. I have to struggle with these complicated and varied claims but it appears the preferred embodiment is something like Li-V-M"-P-F. The "M's" are selected from various metals or metalloids. The "P-F" represents a Lithium Fluorophosphate.
