OT David,

Washington Post reported today that over 2 million ballots were thrown out across the nation. We don't even know if Gore won the popular vote as he claims. All those calling to abolish the Electoral College should take note of that.

My contention remains, if you re-count the whole state of Florida Bush still wins. By counting only a few Democratic counties, of course Gore has a chance to win. I know, I know, Bush had a chance to do the same and how big of a mess would that have been? That, IMO, is why the Republicans didn't request it.

The system is imperfect, but in all likelihood, would have the same result if all ballots could be counted. Where do we go from here?
