Sonny ---glad you return safe and sound . Hope you are ready for Christmas ---the market seems hell bent to take the fun out of it financially . I agree with you that election BS is contributing about 15 to 20 % of the uncertainity that is hampering the market due to the following couple of comments : 1) We had the impeachment going on from 1997 through 1998 ---we really did not have a President doing this time frame and the market went up ---Greenspan to me this time is causing the majority of the problem this time . He does not even try to calm the markets ---just lets the Governors harp on inflation which I have not seen except for OIL ( which they have no control over except to put us in a recession ). 2)We will have a rally when they decide that Gore is not to be the President but it will be temporary until interest rates start heading lower . In a previous post earlier this week I talked about CNBC said we needed a sharp correction in the Nasdaq to get the bulls out of the market ---looks like we are getting it . I am really worried about the productivity numbers due out next week ---since Greenspan is killing technology investment we should see decreases in productivity which in turn will cause us to lose the counter balance to inflation . Then the FED can only raise interest rates to slow inflation since that seems to be the only way they understand to control it . Inflation is supposed to be the CPI - Productivity = Inflation unless I am wrong . Really wish this issue with the election would be resolved . Gore has had three recounts working on four . He needs to concede ---the longer he continues the more I associate him with Clinton ( strictly power hungry ---Damn the people of the US --- I know what is best for them ). I get the impression the only people that can resolved it quickly is the US Supreme Court . It seems the courts in Florida only bury their head in the sand or start the recount over . Will sit this market out ---too much downside to make up . Glad to have you back BEST WISHES BILL
