Volt, it is my understanding that the U.S. Supreme court ruling on Friday or whenever it comes down will change nothing. It is essentially a moot case since Bush does not need the hand counted votes taken out of Florida's certified election results to win.

If the U.S. Supreme Court rules in Bush's favor his win margin goes back to 900+, if not the 500+ stands, either way it's a Bush victory based on the Florida certified results.

Perhaps a favorable ruling for Bush could be applied or expanded down the road in this election mess w/ respect to new hand counts but I don't see how it brings the Gore temper tantrum to an end.
