Gentlemen, at approx. 10:30 a.m. I spoke with Christine Lisle at Investor Relations for 3Com. The conclusion of my concerns pertaining to the company were positive. She emphasized that 4 of the 5 insiders were people that had left or were in the process of leaving the company. However, owing to the 'quiet period' she was unable to answer all my questions. Reading between the lines of our conversation she appeared to be upbeat, especially in the emerging markets. She was very optimistic about the companies prospects and did say that their is nothing that was 3Com specific that was causing the stock to drop. To the best of her knowledge she saw no reason for any earnings concerns. She also expects earning for this quarter to be disclosed on the 21st. of December.
