John,

You're wildly optimistic on the high side, IMO.

QLTI has had FDA approval for more than 6 months. It also been approved in many countries around the globe, including Canada, Europe and Asia.

More to the point, it has saturated Retinal Specialists offices with lasers for Visudyne which operate at a different wavelength than Snet2, or whatever MRVT is calling its drug now. Why would a Dr spend more money for redundant equipment that won't produce incremental revenue?

And QLT does have an extra couple years of Phase III data compared to MRVT. Retinal specialists would put much more faith in a drug which has been proven effective over 3 years rather than 1.

And some of the health care analysts suspect that MRVT has populated its Phase III study with very early stage AMD patients only. That may explain why it took MRVT longer than expected to populate its trial. If true, it may substantially impact the FDA approval process. I have no way of knowing whether or not it's true.

Clearly if MRVT meets its milestones, we'll see a bounce in the stock. But I'd be surprised if the old high is ever seen as a result of SnET2.

I'm not familiar enough with the rest of its pipeline to guesstimate the likely up or down side. I sold my shares when it became clear that MRVT would significantly trail QLTI.

FWIW,
Ian.
