Milo, Here's the real problem with AMD's stock: ____________________________________________________________ Gateway to Badly Miss Fourth-Quarter Revenue, Earnings Estimates By TSC Staff 11/29/00 4:18 PM ET Gateway (GTW:NYSE) expects to report revenue and earnings for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31 that will be significantly below Wall Street's consensus estimates, citing weaker-than-expected consumer holiday sales of personal computers. The PC maker expects to report revenue of about $2.55 billion for the fourth quarter, roughly equal to the same period the previous year and $500 million below previous estimates. Gateway also expects operating income of at least 37 cents a share, while analysts are looking for earnings of 62 cents, according to First Call/Thomson Financial.
