Ballots Being Moved Gore wants a hand count of about 14,000 disputed ballots in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties that he's banking on to enable him to overtake Bush's 537-vote winning margin. He is also challenging results in Nassau County. Sauls ordered ballots from Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties to be transported by police escort to Tallahassee by Friday. Miami- Dade is also sending a voting machine at his request. Sauls deferred a decision on whether the ballots would -- or should -- be counted until a hearing scheduled for Saturday. ``If we get into ballot-counting, we'll do the best we can and finish as expeditiously as possible,'' he said.
