UnBelievable,
Re:- Capitulation means give up. As long as people are concerned about whether we have had capitulation, so they can re-enter the market, we do not have capitulation. When capitulation actually does happen no one will care.
Brutal thing to say but true -g-
Started to slowly cover some of my MSFT and RIMM poots today giving me some cash to play with and pay off all costs and expenses. Very satisfying. Remaining free poots will be aggressively held towards expirery to net the maximum gain.
My clown positions continue to dive into the ground. Overall my portfolio is still diving into the ground but poot power is kickin in and the angle of decent is much reduced.
Although this may be the "once in a lifetime" chance to play the short side, I am really just using it to gain some trading experience. So far it's has been like shooting fish in a barrel. My view is... if I'm such a hot shot trader I will be able to beat my long position losses by playing the poot/short side and long side when appropriate. Lack of greed, just picking up a few dollars overall is a policy I decided to stay with, even in these interesting times. My first objective is to stop the bleeding on long side, the second is to trade so that my portfolio goes up rather then down. I considered selling my stocks long ago...but sitting in cash wondering when to buy back in is not interesting enough for me. Love GTC's they are so clinical. , though one has to be careful with such sharp edged instruments.
Seriously thought about taking some short positions today, but I think there is a rally here in the next month, and will have a try on the short side then.
Must admit... I am enjoying this trader bearish stuff. After some initial worries, it's turning out to be a good low cost insurance policy -g-.
One last note. If we do get a serious downturn (perhaps BK) then the dollar loses it and inflation will become a problem and the price of energy will reflect this change. Under those circumstances, DOW 15k, NAS to the moon does indeed happen but without the resultant increase in actual wealth IMHO. I like those precious metals, but processed silicon has intrinsic value too (how much per ounce -g-), along with a short shelf life, as technology advances.
I think we see some DOWN tomorrow though -g-
