El, between the SSB Gardner's and GTW's warnings Compaq's Peter Blackmore issued a statement about Q4 visibility. Do you think there's now all of a sudden an increased visibility for Compaq's management as to the Q4 earnings? I do not think so. So there should be NO need for another Compaq statement. IMHO Compaq is INCREASING its market share while the PC market is shrinking... I WOULD hope for a re-statement from Blackmore or Greene, just to drive the point to the Street. But isn't the statement from Blackmore STILL VALID ? And let's not forget the BOA King's support of Compaq!!! So let's just "fasten seatbelts" and ride this storm out. If there's a PC price war it's Compaq with its outstanding re-juvenated product line that should come out smelling roses... :^) /Piotr
