I think some people underestimate the might of an armed citizenry. Always bring up how there is no way you could beat the gov't, etc. People should keep in mind that they originally felt that people should be able to protect themselves against their own government if necessary (in addition to regular self defense). Had something to do with fighting their own way out of British control I believe. Point being, I get a bit nervous with a government that feels I should not have one (it is my right, afterall). Combine that with a would be leader that would steal an election and warp the legal process to fit his needs and it makes me a bit nervous. Not saying the government is ready to take over any day now, but who knows what will happen in 5, 10, 20 or 50 years from now. If we ever did get some crazy leader he (or she) would at least have to think twice before they got too tyranical. Many people don't understand this and are more comfortable labeling honest law abiding gun owners as the problem and feeling sorry for real criminals. I for one feel better being able to protect myself and my family.
