Modern Records updates Tiffany's new album

Wed 29 Nov 2000 News Release
Mr. Johan Grandin reports
Billboard Magazine editorial compares Tiffany with Alanis Morissette,
quote, "Color of Silence could easily be to 2000 what Alanis Morissette's
Grammy Award-winning Jagged Little Pill was to 1995." Color of Silence that
was released on Nov. 7 to retail outlets is starting to enjoy a 50-per-cent
to 70-per-cent reorder pattern in every major retail chain throughout the
United States. Promotional campaigns are being set up for Virgin Mega
stores, Circuit City, Fred Myers and other retail outlets. At Tower
Records, Tiffany's new album will be one of the featured artists in its
Tower Pulse program in January, 2001.
The marketing campaign is similar to the way Tiffany was promoted to a No.
1 artist 15 years ago. She continues to play live performances on a weekly
basis and wherever she goes she plays for a full house. Last week she
played at UCLA for over 1,500 people, and later that evening packed and
sold out all inventory in the Los Angeles Virgin Mega Store. Over the
Thanksgiving holiday she played in the Union Square Mall to full capacity
in Tallahassee, Fla. Due to the attention of the presidential election, the
show was covered by networks such as CNN and other news media. On Nov. 28,
Tiffany performed at the University of Santa Barbara in front of 2,500
rabid fans.
In December, so far performances are planned for Tiffany in Tampa, Fla.,
Connecticut and Portland, Ore., among other places. Joel Wertman, chief
operating officer, says, "All indicators are pointing to a successful run
for the Tiffany record, we need to ramp up the promotion and we should be
able to see some significant numbers for sales early next year." Johan
Grandin, president, says, "The revenue generated from the sales of Tiffany
and other artists under the new arrangements with Eureka will give Modern
Records a significant increase in revenue per sold album in comparison to
our previous distribution deal with Atlantic Records."

"forward-looking" statements.
