Apex, I re-read your article, that's almost amazing, on the average they only had to count about 80 votes each. Around 500 tops, apparently. One advantage of having a small population.
It's clear the US system needs overhauling. Wonder if and when they will get to it.

PS..that works out to counting about 7 votes per doughnut.
