My Dear Watson,
>> Just a minor mistake, a missed detail.<< Just like putting Gore's name in second top line and the hole to vote for him, in third top spot. Just a minor detail, eh.?
BTW: many Canadians, especially those with some knowledge of European politics, piss themselves laughing at the nitpicking that goes on in your election, trying to make differences between the 2 candidates. To any European the differences are minimal. It's like watching Bill and Ben, the Flowerpot Men, when Bush and Gore are on the TV.
In order to have a discussion, they pretend to hold differing positions on what their pollsters and spin doctors tell them is important and we are treated to the spectacle of Bush trying to outspend Gore on Medicare or Social Security. It's funnier than Dennis Miller.
Ralph Nader is twice the man either Gore or Bush is and also twice as intelligent as Bush, for sure. Nader and Chomsky would provide an alternative for Americans, instead of more pablum every year.
The truth is that there is little difference between Bush and Gore or indeed, between the Dems and Reps, because both of them are dependent on lobbyists, special interest groups and PACs for support and are beholden to them for 4 years thereafter. The States hasn't had a President who was his own man for many years, since Truman I believe, which is a sad state of affairs.
