Mark...My mama told me that if you can't say anything nice, don't say it. But I have to. I can't help myself. Just say NO to writing your own ad copy. I work on this kind of stuff for a living. This video is..uhm....brutal. I can pretty much guess how much this video cost within a few grand (even at LA rates). IN MY OPINION..money not very well spent, and more should have been spent to do this right. Shot on film. A recognizable name as a spokespeson...nonetheless.. Great concept, lousy execution. The image of ECNC that this video portrays is....well..cheesy. Ok..Some of the graphics are pretty cool, though. The George Forman Grill, the Singing Bass and the Pocket Fisherman won't stand a chance if this thing hits the airwaves. All the show is missing is flashing fonts, an 'as seen on TV' logo, and a 'but wait, there's more' sign. Where's Tony Robbins when ya need him :>) how many times in 10 minutes should a big green sign saying 'send check or money order' be shown on a screen??? Apparently, a buttload. So...let me get this straight....a company that has a product that will revolutionize and change the way we shop online can't even accept Visa or MC or AMEX for the purchase of the device?? Did I miss something? Ya think maybe the copy should have included something like "The cashpad is a revolutionary device that easily hooks up to your PC. Just plug it in, load the software, and log on. Just look for the 'Bank Eyes Only' logo at your favorite online retailer." Let me see if I can dig myself out of my sea of cinicism and negativity for a moment...sorry to be a bummer...sigh.. The cashpad IS revolutionary. It represents a MAJOR shift in online financial transactions. One that I anxiously and eagerly await. Tom..do some test marketing of this thing before you commit to a broadcast schedule. This kind of video is NOT the way to promote a product of this potential magnitude. I am truly dissapointed that this was the best they could do. I KNOW the amount of work it takes to produce something like tthis. I know what it will cost to air it. And I also know it doesn't cost THAT much more to do it better. Sell the race car and do this right.
