My buying power is $10,000. How much can I buy?

$10,000 worth of marginable common stock (listed, Nasdaq, or above the firm's minimum price requirement)

You can probably buy $5,000 worth of options (although this depends on whether the buying power is derived from your SMA or firm maintenance excess, which we'll explain later).

You can probably buy $7,500 worth of LEAPS with expiration 9 months out or more (although this depends on SMA and FME, as above).
