lynn...in your situation selling covered calls against your common is a low risk, no stress situation. it will generate income and the most cataclysmic thing that could happen is you are forced to sell the stock at a price better then you could get today........keep to the shorter term, it may annualize better then long term calls..... cash in better then cash out... try to relax and focus beyond the market... good luck ed a.
